A new year brings hope and promise – and 365 days to set goals and knock them down one by one. If there ever was a year for fresh starts, it’s safe to say: this is the one.
At the start of the year, wellness is a common theme for new beginnings, whether it’s a focus on fitness or a different way of eating or managing your mental health. Or maybe it’s all of the above. Or a completely different approach to creating the best possible version of you.
At Vevan, we get that wellness means different things to different people. Just like we know what you eat and how you eat are super personal choices. That’s why we celebrate all styles of eating, from flexitarian to vegan and everything in between.
No matter what your resolution list holds, we hope you’ll build in some ways to simply enjoy life and all the awesome adventures that the new year is sure to bring.
In the meantime, here are some ideas to help you rock those New Year’s resolutions all year long:
Eat what you like.
Cutting out your favorite foods completely will never work for the long term. You’re only human! Instead, limit the amount you eat or look for other ways to enjoy your must-haves. If you’re avoiding dairy or eating plant-based but can’t go a day without cheese – and who could blame you?! – try a delicious dairy-free option. Of course we suggest Vevan. After all, if you’re looking for an authentic taste and perfect creamy melt, it’s really the only option (in our oh-so-humble opinion).
Snack smart.
When you’re feeling snacky or grabbing something quick, you can still be sensible. We know, we know – eating smart isn’t always the fastest choice. Fortunately, there are plenty of convenient foods that taste great and need no prep at all, like Snax. The blend of dairy-free Vevan cubes, dried fruit and protein-rich nuts is a perfect way to perk up your energy.
Create a support system.
No matter what type of goals you set, you’re more likely to succeed when you surround yourself with people who cheer you on. If you’re exploring a new lifestyle, there are plenty of resources to help you on your journey. For example, if you’re exploring veganism or new to the vegan lifestyle, be sure to check out Veganuary and #veganuary2021 for inspiration and support.
Also, be sure to check back often for more tips and explore the rest of The Dish blog for more info to help you get started, including how plant-based and vegan foods are different, choosing great dairy-free cheese, tips for cooking with dairy-free cheese and how you can make quick, tasty dairy-free snacks and meals.
